Once the home of the Ure family from the 19th century to 1952, many of the original features of Wheatlands have been retained, including the elegant dining room and beautiful Family room (where residents and families can meet for tea or coffee and home made cakes). Standing above the village of Bonnybridge with extensive views yet just a hundred yards from the Doctors practice, we are 4 miles from Falkirk, 8 from Stirling, 20 from Glasgow and 20 from Edinburgh. A choice of 5 Lounges, 4 Dining Rooms, Family Room, Hairdressing salon, Conservatories, first class Kitchen, walk in showers and baths. We really do take time to care for our Residents, whether Nursing Care or Residential.

But don’t just take our word for it, come and look round. No appointment is needed-which tells you we have nothing to hide and much to show off! And ask for the current inspection report.
 
Before we accept anyone, a Registered Nurse visits new clients to carry out a health assessment to ensure that we can meet all their health needs. Your named Nurse will then up date your Care Plan and any other requirements on a daily basis. Our philosophy is simple: We try at all times to provide quality care in order to nurture good health, enhance wellbeing and enjoyable living. We take time to care in every way we can.

We have fine views, beautiful rooms and an historic building here in Bonnybridge. But what really matters when it comes to looking after elderly people, is the staff. We employ good, hard working people, well trained and with enough staff to take time to care.

That’s why we have more staff than Residents! We employ our own Nurses, 24 Hours a day, everyday of the year on every shift, supported by Senior Carers and Carers. We believe strongly in Training for staff and offer courses to keep them up to date and proficient. That’s why we have many Carers with SVQ certificates and Nurses who have gone on to take specialist qualifications in palliative care, infection control, dementia training and so on. What about your staffing levels?

Our Catering staff  produce enjoyable, imaginative meals and menus to very high standards and they also have certificates in Food Handling and Hygiene. Menus with good nutrition values are invariably as good or better than many medicines!

Our own Housekeeping staff and Laundry keep us sparkling clean and drive away the germs and infection so common these days in hospitals and elsewhere.
